Link is to a 1845 Map of Jackson County.  Marianna did not exist yet, neither did Dothan.  Webbville was the large city during this period and the map shows a major route from Webbville to Daleville, Alabama.  Webbville no longer exist however it was about 4 miles north of present day Cottondale.  Some notable areas in the vicinity would be Christoff Ferry Landing to the north. And Bellamy Bridge, which is still standing.  First bridge of it's type to be erected in Florida. Jacob City would be to the north of where Webbville once stood.  There's also a large cotton gin not far from Bellamy Bridge.  You can drive past today see nothing but cows and farmlands not really understanding what used to exist there.
