Made a recent trip to Galveston and ended up spending a few hours metal detecting the beaches on the Bolivar Peninsula.  Was finding fishing tackle mostly.  We talked to a few others who also had their detectors out having much better luck than we were.  Hopefully they'll post some pics of their findings.
